Then he eventually meets Julia, who is a Party member, but she doesn't believe in the Party and she criticizes it a lot. He falls in love with her. Both of them want to join the Brotherhood, a secret organization which fights against the Party. In this way, they try to escape Big Brother's control and they also try to fight against the Party.
Then they are picked up by the Thought Police and they are carried to the Ministry of Love by soldiers. They are hit and they betrayed each other.

Julia is the Winston's lover. She is twenty-six. She's a pretty, self-confident girl, with thick, dark hair. She lives in a Party building and she works at the Ministry of Truth.
O'Brien is a powerful member of the Inner Party. He is middle-aged. He is a large man, with a thick neck and glasses.
